The Role
This is a key commercial role with responsibility for driving sustainable growth across both GBD and Alphalytik. We are looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with a strong hands-on approach and enjoys building business directly in the market.

Your mission

Key Responsibilities
  • Grow international sales at GBD by developing new markets and expanding our global distributor network for virological quality control products. 
  • Drive new business for Alphalytik by identifying and winning new customers in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries and positioning our GMP analytical services in national and international markets. 
  • Identify market opportunities by tracking industry developments, analysing competitors, and spotting new areas for growth within diagnostics and life sciences. 
  • Represent both companies externally at international trade shows, conferences, and industry events, while building strong relationships with distributors, decision-makers, and key accounts. 
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and first contact through to negotiation and closing. This is a hands-on role with a high level of autonomy and a strong focus on execution.

Your profile

What You Bring
  • A degree in the life sciences, such as biology, biotechnology, medicine, or a related field, or a comparable qualification with strong technical understanding. 
  • 5–7 years of experience in sales or business development, ideally in diagnostics, life sciences services, pharma services, or a related sector. 
  • A strong track record in international market development and working with or managing distributor networks. 
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial, and hands-on mindset. You are comfortable working independently, taking ownership, and delivering results in an agile environment with flat hierarchies. 
  • Professional fluency in both German and English.
